Hi, I'm ReefCentral's snorkeler, also known as flpaoli in other boards. I setup this blog to register the story and evolution of my saltwater aquarium. Have fun reading.

It arrived....
My BFG9000 has arrived >;-) .... now I just need time to test and calibrate it....
I am new to reefkeeping. My tank is a 3 month old 75 gallon tank. Explain. What is a BFG9000? Is it a robot? Can you take it to dinner? Can it mow your lawn? Do your taxes? ;)
:-) A BFG9000 was the most powerful weapon of a video game I played some 20 years ago... check it out at Wikipedia. Everytime I put my hands on any equipment I consider superb I call it a BFG9000 :-) . Anyway, this is a dosing pump (actually 4), it is used to automatically dose small portions of supplements to the water, freeing you from the trouble and ensuring optimally stable water parameters. Mine 'went live' yesterday with the first pump calibrated to dose 1ml of Vodka twice a day. Next will come Mg buffer (my tank consumes too much Mg, not sure why) and then maybe Alk buffer afterwards.
