Have some ball anemones in the tank

I had these strange small "anemone-looking" guys in my tank, which I had never got a solid ID on, and recently I got a good enough picture of one that enabled folk at ReefCentral to ID it.
This is a small creature, the photo is a significant zoom.  The width of the disk you see is about 7mm, maximum.

It is a pseudocorynactis caribbeorum, or "ball anemone".  Apparently harmless. Mine has white tips and a fairly colorless, transparent, body.  A little hint of orange, but just a hint.

A few months ago I only had one, the one pictured above.  When I added the Palythoa colony I got another as a hitchhiker on the rock.  That one has become three on the same rock.... and they are hard to photograph because of the position in the tank and on the rock that hosts them.

Update on the Six Line Wrasse: he put the Orchid Dottyback to run in no time... the Dottyback is now hiding in a cave it had stolen from the Rainfordi Goby.... I hope it gets bolder as it gets hungry, and leaves the cave to feed and to reclaim some territory.

Mr. 6 has arrived

Couldn't resist a sale at the LFS today and brought home a Six Line Wrasse, which we named Mr. 6.  Here he is floating in his water bag before introduction to the tank:

He is still quite shy so I wasn't able to get a perfect picture of him in the tank yet, but we'll get there as he gets used to his new home and tank mates.

Regarding the tank water conditions seem to be improving, as the Acan sprung back to life after a recent 10% partial water change, so did the hammer coral.  The trumpets showed a reaction, but I think they are too damaged/receded to survive, let's see....

Here is the Acan, as you can see very open again, and on the left hand side if you look carefully you'll see a baby acan who survived too:

Notice the valonia bubbles and green hair algae around the Acan.... water quality improving, but, still far away form ideal...

I actually had video of the "alien"!   Forgot I had recorded it.... Here it is:

Ever seen an alien? This sure looks like one....

Time to post an update... nitrates continue at zero, vodka at 2.5ml, phosphates still at 0.5ppm despite putting PhosGuard in a bag a week ago, I'll probably change it this week to continue absorption.... and green hair algae apparently slowing down their growth. I manually removed some large patches twice. After the last manual removal the growth seems a lot slower.

Magnesium still under the ideal 1280, currently around 1063. That is progress, since I started at 875... used Seachem Aquavitro ions to bring it up to 1063 and now I just started to use Seachem's Reef advantage magnesium. Nothing against ions, it's just that my LFS ran out of it so I switched to Reef advantage magnesium. It is rather cumbersome to have to dissolve it, ions was easier to use.

I'm starting to see new pink coralline algae appearing, which is a good sign that the water quality is improving.

Now, what about the alien? :-) OK, I saw this really very strange creature in the aquarium last Saturday.... I had never seen its body before, but I knew something very ugly was in the system because of a question I posted at ReefCentral.

Here it is hidden in the substrate (sand) with only a small part out of the water. Click to enlarge and see details, have a sick bag ready nearby:

Here is another one on the glass. Sick bag also recommended before enlarging :-) :

What a weird creature..... I didn't record video of it... but I think I should have because it was so strange and wiggly....

Yuck....
