Put the Phosban media in there but it isn't Ok... the water flow is too weak... thr media isn't tumbling as it should, need a stronger feed pump it seems.
Well I gotta go now, so that will have to wait till later.
Putting in a new fluidized reactor to absorb Phosphates... here testing it with only water, no media yet.
My Rainfordi Gobi died today.... he was looking thinner for at least two to three weeks, I was suspecting he might be sick, since there was no lack of food for him on the tank (lots of green hair algae in there still). He must have been attacked by some internal disease, as I couldn't find external evidence of parasites, ich, etc....
And here he is after being introduced to the tank full of yummy valonias and hair algae... :-) He seems to be liking it and the other inhabitants apparently have ignored him.
And in this picture you can see him getting a first taste of our house valonias, 2010 vintage, hand picked for him :-) . Almost finished adapting him to my water... will introduce him to the tank in 5 minutes....
My green zoanthus colony finally seems to be comfortable and growing. It has more polyps and I can see new growth almost moving into the live rock (look at the small polyp on the left side of the colony, there is another one like it on the other side of the grown up polyp's base).
